Red Rubber Cork Sheet

Sound Insulation: IKM

Depending on the condition of the surface (wall and ceiling), this material is also applied using the DUCORK IKM adhesive method. If the surface to be adhered to is not smooth, any type of tile adhesive and external wall insulation plaster can be used, whereas if the surface is smooth, solvent-based adhesives should be used. DUCORK IKM panels must be placed without leaving any gaps. Once the adhesive process of the material is completed, plaster, reinforced plaster mesh, and regular plaster application can be easily applied on top. To achieve sound insulation, materials that create sound bridges such as nails, dowels, and screws must not be used.

Vibration Insulation: VKM

At the foundations of machines such as generators, compressors, alternators, hydrofoils, or textiles that produce vibration noise;

  • In large business centers

  • In tourist facilities

  • In hospitals

    and similar buildings, it is used in service floors. The purpose is to absorb the vibration noise and ensure that buildings are insulated from these vibrations.

Impact Sound Insulation: IKM / VKM

In the general application of DUCORK IKM / VKM, panels are placed before pouring the leveling concrete on the floor. It is not necessary to glue all surfaces of the panels. Instead, after the panels are positioned without any gaps between them, they are spot-glued. In addition, a panel of 10 cm height is placed at the base of the walls. After the placement of the panels, pouring the leveling concrete insulates both the floor and the side walls from noise and impact sounds.

Application Areas

  • The area where the machine will be placed is determined, and a concrete pool is prepared.

  • A vibration plate is calculated and placed at the appropriate thickness on top of this.

  • A concrete base is placed on top, and the machine is mounted on this concrete base.
