Filled PTFE Rod - Block
Product Description
They are manufactured from filled PTFE resin using the molding process. Suspension polymerized PTFE resin is mixed with a wide variety of filler materials. Most commonly used fillers include glass fiber, carbon fiber, bronze, and as lubricants, graphite and molybdenum disulfide. As seen in the technical specification table, the compressive strength and wear resistance of filled PTFE material are higher than those of pure PTFE.

The table provides an overview of the properties of pure and filled PTFE materials. In fact, there are countless combinations of filler materials available, depending on the purpose of use. Among these, glass fiber-filled and carbon fiber-filled alloys are the most widely applied. The reinforcement material should be selected according to the importance of the feature to be highlighted.
