Diaphragm Rubber

Product Description

Rubber sheets are manufactured from various types of rubber such as SBR, NBR, CR, and EPDM.

Materials such as cotton, nylon, and Terylene are used as reinforcement materials. Depending on the purpose and material thickness, multiple layers can be used. Generally, single layers are used at thicknesses of 0.50, 1, and 1.5 mm, while double layers are used at thicknesses of 2, 2.5, and 3 mm. The surfaces can be very smooth or have a fabric appearance. They are durable, easy to use and clean. They possess good tear and oil resistance. In diaphragm rubber, while maintaining the rubber properties, resistance to punctures and tears is enhanced with reinforcement material. Optionally, one layer of reinforcement fabric material can be added for every 1.6 mm thickness of rubber.

Application Areas

  • Automotive

  • Chemical and transportation sector

  • Heavy machinery

  • Oil and gas exploration

  • Drilling activities

  • Oil refinery facilities

  • Transportation works

Fabric-reinforced diaphragm rubbers are used as primary or auxiliary materials for tools and parts such as floor tiles, gaskets, multilayer gaskets, seals, coatings, vibration dampers, and expansion compensators in the facilities mentioned above.

Corrosion resistance, impact resistance, and wear resistance are particularly important for protecting precision machinery and equipment from impacts. Corrosion-resistant diaphragm rubbers are widely used in power plants, sulfur purification facilities, and water treatment plants where such protection is required.
